I took my daughter down to Glen Park earlier, and someone had just gotten on the court for an hour. Such a bummer! Meanwhile, the San Dieguito Academy public school courts were completely empty.
Updates
- Thanks to speaking at the June school board meeting, the superintendent is now on board and is waiting to hear what we can figure out with the city.
- We have 20 people on the email list now!
Next steps
- Encinitas Parks and Recreation meeting: August 18, 2026 at 5:30 PM. I will be there speaking. If you can show up, that would be very helpful!
- City Council meeting: August 19, 2026. I am also going to try to speak at that meeting.
Those meetings should really get the ball rolling with the city. We have the school board side; now we need the city side so we can work toward an agreement.
We are providing solutions, not problems. The agreement examples already exist. Now we need enough community support to help the City of Encinitas and SDUHSD make this happen.
